Our 2025 chosen charity is Candlelighters, a charity that supports families affected by childhood cancer across Yorkshire.
Greyfell Academy raised £5,436.38 for the Charity in Spring 2025 by completing a charity 'obstacle duck waddle' as well as other fun activities throughout our fundraising week. Donna from Candlelighters visited us to say a huge thank you and speak to the children. She was extremely grateful for everyone's hard work to raise so much money.

In 2024 our chosen charity was Kirkwood Hospice. The hospice provides specialist care, free of charge to adults in Kirklees with advanced, progressive illnesses at any time from diagnosis to the end of life. Care and support is also provided for their family, friends and carers.
In April 2024, Greyfell Academy took part in 'The Kirkwood Bunny Hop'. Fundraisers included bunny hopping, creating bunny drawings, playing sleeping bunny's and we even had a visit from a real life bunny!
£4,632 was raised for Kirkwood Hospice, thank you to all Parents/Carers, children and the Greyfell Academy team involved for raising such a huge amount of money for a fantastic cause!
